Time. Talk to ten people and you will get ten different responses to the question, “What do you like to do with your time?”

Responses might range from, “Besides working I like to spend my leisure time with family and friends doing something together” to “Leisure time, what is that?”

The only thing we can be assured of is the fact that every living being has but 24 hours in a day, seven days in a week, and 52 weeks in a year. Notice I said “Living” person. Living is so much more than “Get me through this day.” Living is sharing your joys and concerns with loved ones. Living is making a difference in the lives we meet, even if it is only to bring a smile to the face of a stranger. Living is striving to be more like Jesus each and every moment of each and every day.

At first trying to live like Jesus may seem to be an impossibility, something that takes some of that precious time we never seem to have enough of. But as we take the time to think things through and act in a “Christ Like” fashion our deliberate actions slowly become natural reactions to the world around us.

Do you live a “Christ Like” life? One way to discover the real answer to that question is to consider how you react when you are most tired, when nothing has gone quite the way you would like all day, you are down to your last nerve, then it happens. Someone comes to you at the very moment you have sat down to rest and wants to know why you are just sitting around when there is so much to be done. Be truthful with yourself. How would you, how have you, reacted?

Leading a “Christ Like” life does not mean everything will always be rosey. Leading a “Christ Like” life means that you will allow Christ to flow through you and react to every situation with a WWJD attitude.

Remember that if your day has been bad there are those out there whose day has been worse and your reaction to them might be the only moment a smile spreads across their face that day.

Real success is not so much about what you have done different in your life as it is what have you done to make a difference in someone else’s life. Be a “Christ Like” difference maker with your time.
